JAMBAR at 2024 Sound Summit: Music, Nature, and Community
JAMBAR was excited to be part of the local favorite Sound Summit Music Festival, hosted in Mill Valley, California. Being one of the most unique events in the bay, the Sound Summit is hosted at the Mountain Theatre’s outdoor ampitehatre set against breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. The event brought together music lovers, environmental advocates, and the local community for an unforgettable day of celebration.
This Year’s Line-Up
In addition to the beautiful sun-filled weather, this year’s festival featured an incredible lineup, including performances by indie-rock icon Kurt Vile and Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett. Their sets had the crowd on their feet, and festival-goers enjoyed the music while surrounded by the beauty of nature that Mt Tamalpais offers.

In addition to the Headliners, other notable bands present at the event included The California HoneyDrops, Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge, and Skyway Man. These artists got the opportunity perform on the same stage as music legends like Bob Weir, Herbie Hancock, The Mother Hips, and Preservation Jazz Hall, just to name a few.

Getting Our JAM On!
JAMBAR returned to Sound Summit as a 3rd year sponsor; we were onsite, sampling our organic energy bars to attendees, keeping the crowd energized as they hiked from the trails, mountain biked from the fire roads, or danced to the beats. In addition to offering our delicious, all-natural snacks, we added a little extra fun to the festival with a face painter at our booth, spreading the festival spirit. Fans got the option to get peace signs painted on their faces, strawberries, and sunflowers.

Philanthropy: Music and Conservation
Sound Summit is organized by Roots & Branches Conservancy, a San Francisco Bay area non-profit focused on conserving natural resources and fostering cultural traditions. This mission aligns with JAMBAR's values of community and sustainability, and we were thrilled to be a part of this event that not only celebrates music but also raises awareness for the preservation of Mount Tamalpais’ unique ecosystem. To date, Roots & Branches has raised over $250,000 for Mt Tam and funded a number of broad initiatives that include trail restoration, water conversation, fire prevention, and more.

“Having run on Mt. Tam my entire life, supporting Roots & Branches Conservancy and their mission to preserve this mountain is a natural extension of our commitment to sustainability and giving back. We believe in fostering community and healthy lifestyles, and Sound Summit allows us to do just that—energizing festival-goers with our organic bars while contributing to the conservation of this special place. This event blends the power of music with a deep appreciation for nature, which is something that speaks to our hearts at JAMBAR. Thanks for having us back for the third year in a row!" — Jenny Maxwell, CEO of JAMBAR

This intersection of nature and culture resonates deeply with our values at JAMBAR, where we prioritize organic ingredients, give back to the community, and encourage active lifestyles.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Sound Summit and can’t wait to see what next year brings!
