There isn’t actual jam or jelly in our energy bars (but we do use real organic fruit in two of our flavors!) Our JAM is the jammin’ kind--that magic energy you feel in your soul. Whether we’re jamming to our favorite music, or jamming on the positive energy we get from being out in nature and moving our bodies, or jamming on the nourishment we receive from eating real, organic whole foods, connecting with these values is what we’re all about. At JAMBAR we envision a world where these human experiences are more accessible to everyone, so we donate 50% of our net profits to organizations that promote music and active living in our communities. That’s our JAM!

We are based in Marin County in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our offices overlook a dedicated manufacturing facility where our energy bars are made, right here on site. We are thrilled to make JAMBARs in our own facility where we have total control over production and product quality. We take pride in personally overseeing the production process, from the handling of raw materials to the cleaning of equipment, right down to seeing bars come off the line for packaging and finally, shipping out the door to our retail partners and directly to your doorstep!

At JAMBAR, we donate 50% of our after-tax profits directly to organizations in local communities that help bring our values to life. We partner with programs that focus on making music and musical education more accessible, as well as organizations that promote healthy, active living. Using a donor-advised fund managed by the Marin Community Foundation (MCF), 50% of our after-tax profits will be donated directly to qualified non-profits and other organizations doing amazing work in the music and active living fields. Partnering with MCF allows JAMBAR to focus on delivering the best possible products, knowing the administrative and financial aspects of our giveback program are handled by an expert team. Having just launched JAMBAR, we have product limitations while we build our business and simply cannot support every request. Yes, we have a small brand ambassador team for our Fall 2021 launch and plan to expand as we grow! We want to open an application process for JAMBAR Ambassadors in early 2022, so stay tuned. Our intention is to partner with ambassadors who have an association with sports, active living, and all things music related, and of course we are also interested in people who love our organic energy bars and want to help spread the word about our products and mission. Yes, we currently sponsor a select few athletes and musicians and hope to expand this team as we grow! We are not looking to add any athletes or musicians at this time, but you are welcome to email us at jammin@jambar.com and we’ll let you know when we grow this program.

Jazzleberry is a tangy sweet combo of organic strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries mixed with organic whole grains. It hits all the right fruity notes. Malt Nut Melody is a satisfying combination of peanuts and maple, with a touch of sesame and vanilla. Tropical Trio is a bright and breezy blend of tropical fruits, banana, pineapple and coconut. This ensemble of island fruits is enhanced by gluten free grains and walnut butter for a delicious nutritional punch.

Our bars have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. Our best by date is not an expiration date related to food safety, but rather a suggested date by which to consume the product for the best taste and texture experience.

Certainly! While we didn’t design the bars specifically for children, our organic, natural ingredients are a great option for the whole family. Of course, we don’t recommend feeding JAMBARs to children who are not already safely eating solid foods. Please consult your child’s pediatrician if you have specific concerns. Our paperboard cartons are sourced in the US and made of 60% post-consumer recycled materials and are fully recyclable. JAMBAR wrappers are not recyclable, unfortunately. We will continue to keep our eye out for innovation in the supply chain for recyclable or compostable wrapper options that also protect the shelf life of our energy bars.

All ingredients in our bars are authentically natural--this means they are never artificial or manufactured. JAMBAR uses only sweeteners sourced directly from nature because we believe that natural ingredients are better for our bodies and they taste better, too! JAMBARs are sweetened with:

• 100% pure maple syrup: just concentrated sap from maple trees. Nothing added.
• Pure honey from the hives of honey bees.
• Grape sugar: the fruit sugar extracted from whole grapes. Sweet goodness as nature intended.
• Date juice concentrate: 100% dates, condensed and unrefined. Delicious and high in potassium.

JAMBAR offers both vegan and non-vegan protein sources, so there’s something for everyone. All of our flavors have 10g of protein per bar.

The Chocolate and Malt Nut flavors use organic whey protein derived from the milk of pasture raised cows. This complete protein is also high in calcium.

The Malt Nut flavor also derives some protein from peanut butter, whereas the Chocolate flavor is made without nuts.

The Jazzleberry, Mango, and Tropical Trio bars are vegan and use an innovative new source in plant protein: sunflower seed protein powder. These flavors also include cashew or walnut butter, which adds an additional source of protein.

Additionally, our whole grain blend of organic brown rice, quinoa, and sorghum provides a heart-healthy source of plant-based protein for all four flavors.

Our Chocolate flavor is made without nuts. Our Malt Nut flavor contains peanuts, and our Jazzleberry, Mango, and Tropical Trio flavors contain cashews. Our Tropical Trio flavor also contains walnut butter. We have our own dedicated production facility, so we do not share storage space or manufacturing equipment with other food companies. At our facility, we keep all allergen ingredients separated when stored, and we practice very strict cleaning and testing protocols to ensure that cross-contamination does not occur. Our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and then swab tested for traces of allergen proteins before a new flavor runs on the machines. That said, if you or someone in your family lives with severe tree nut or peanut allergies, be aware that our products are not produced in a nut-free facility and all flavors do share production lines. Please consult your family physician if you have safety concerns.

Yes, all JAMBAR ingredients are GMO free. Our bars are certified organic, and the use of GMOs is prohibited in organic production.

Yes! All three sources of premium chocolate used in our bar--cocoa, unsweetened chocolate, and milk chocolate chips--are certified fair trade by Fair Trade USA®.

Our Jazzleberry, Mango, and Tropical Trio flavors are vegan, and use sunflower seeds as a primary protein source. Our Chocolate and Malt Nut flavors use organic whey protein derived from pasture-raised cow milk and therefore, are not vegan.

Yes, all JAMBAR flavors are soy free.

Our Jazzleberry, Mango and Tropical Trio flavors are dairy free. Our Chocolate and Malt Nut flavors use organic whey protein derived from pasture-raised cow milk and therefore, are not dairy free.

Yes, JAMBARs are gluten free. The Malt Nut flavor is the only bar without “gluten free” on its wrapper due to our malt powder, which is derived from barley and therefore has a higher chance of having a trace amount of gluten when measured in parts per million.

No, we are not able to obtain kosher certification due to our use of grape sugar as a natural sweetener.

We don’t currently have coupons, but we do periodically offer special promotions to our email newsletter subscribers. The best way to stay on top of these savings opportunities is to sign up for our newsletter.

It never hurts to ask the store manager to bring in JAMBAR! We recommend asking smaller, independent markets or specialty stores, as they can often make their own buying decisions. Chain retail stores usually make buying decisions at the corporate level, and therefore cannot fulfill customer requests as easily.

We do not currently offer shipping outside of the United States.
