The Soccer Tournament (TST) is back, and JAMBAR returns as the official energy bar of Kwik Goal FC (FKA Conrad & Beasley United). Led by superstar players Jimmy Conrad and DaMarcus Beasley, the team made it to the 2023 quarterfinals in the $1M winner-takes-all tournament. Check out the epic video last year’s team made about “the JAMBAR effect.”
Team GMs Jacob Hirschmann and Matt Mitchell worked closely with Jimmy and
DaMarcus to pack their Kwik Goal FC roster with world class talent this year, including two former Major League Soccer MVPs in Italian international Sebastian Giovinco and Canadian legend Dwayne De Rosario, along with other MLS vets and MASL stars.
Jimmy was a 6-time MLS All-Star during his 12 years in the league and had 27 caps
with the U.S. Men’s National Team, including playing in the 2006 World Cup.
DaMarcus, though, was another level! He played professionally for 16 years in MLS, Mexico, Holland, Scotland, and in the Premier League in England and he had 126 caps with the U.S. Men’s National Team, which led to him being the only American man to have played in four World Cups.
“At last year’s tournament, the guys loved having JAMBARs on hand for training
sessions and games. It’s great to have JAMBAR back – the bars are delicious,
nutritious and provide long-lasting energy for the guys,” said Jimmy. “And I know the new plant-based flavor - Tropical Trio - is going to be a big hit with our team.”
Building off a groundbreaking inaugural event, TST 2024 will expand from 32 to 48
men’s teams. New this year is an eight-team, $1M, winner-take-all women's
tournament. Surrounded by soccer fans in a festival atmosphere, the men's and women's teams will compete in separate, World-Cup-style tournaments consisting of group play and single elimination knockout rounds as they vie for the $1M prizes.
Other notable players committed to TST 2024 teams include USWNT's Heather
O'Reilly, former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, former Manchester City star Mario Balotelli, and Portuguese national team legend Nani. TST's field includes 7-a-side teams from some of the top clubs in the world.
The event will be held June 5-10 at Wakemed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., and games will be streamed on ESPN+. Join us in cheering on Kwik Goal FC on their quest to win the tournament and a million dollars!
