WAY TO GO, JOE! KLECKER FINISHES TOP 10 AT NYC MARATHON

Huge congratulations to JAMBAR athlete Joe Klecker, who smashed it in his marathon debut at one of the biggest races in the world - the NYC Marathon. Joe was the third American to cross the finish line, taking 10th place overall with a time of 2:10:37.

A 2020 Olympian and the 2022 U.S. champion at the 10,000-meter run, Joe had his eye on the 2024 Olympic Trials, but was unable to compete due to an injury. He got back to training, and changed gears. Long known for his achievements on the track, this year marks a new chapter in Joe’s career as he takes to the road. He competed in his first half-marathon in Houston in January, and ran his first 26.2-mile race on Sunday in New York. He ran an incredibly consistent race, with a 65:21 for the first half and 65:16 for the second half, averaging 4:59 a mile.

Congratulations Joe!
