Partner Spotlight: Jammin’ at the Stern Grove Festival

JAMBAR recently partnered with the iconic Stern Grove Festival. Founded by the Goldman Foundation in 1938, Stern Grove has been a cornerstone of San Francisco’s cultural landscape, offering free, live music to the community through its non-profit mission for many generations. Nestled in the scenic beauty of The Grove in the Avenues of San Francisco, the festival is held on a property that was donated by Rosalie Meyer Stern, who envisioned a space where people from all walks of life could enjoy live performances in a natural, outdoor setting. This commitment to accessibility and the arts has been carried on by the Goldman family, making Stern Grove a cherished institution in the Bay Area.

As a local Bay Area company, we are proud to support Stern Grove Festival’s commitment to giving back to the community. Our own mission includes a 50% net profit give-back to music and sports initiatives, so Stern Grove was a natural fit. This organization shares our passion for music, community, and the power of the arts. With over 10 “free” music events each summer, Stern Grove connects Bay Area music fans with the music they love.

This summer, JAMBAR was on-site for two unforgettable Stern Grove afternoons where we listened to music, engaged with fans, and sampled JAMBARS. On July 14th, we joined thousands of fans to witness the timeless funk and soul of The Commodores, a band that has left a huge mark in music history with hits like "Brick House" and "Easy." Their electric performance was a testament to the enduring power of live music. A few weeks later, on August 11th, we were on-site for the performance of legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock. With a career spanning over six decades, Herbie has been a pioneer in the fusion of jazz with electronic music, influencing countless musicians worldwide. His performance at Stern Grove was nothing short of magical. Both shows were packed with people and energy.

We also had the privilege of being in the Green Room, where we kept the musicians fueled with JAMBARs. It was great to hear that the musicians were excited about our bars, with Herbie Hancock even enjoying one right before hitting the stage.

“As a musician and drummer, I’ve always believed in the power of music to bring people together, says JAMBAR CEO Jennifer Maxwell. "Partnering with the Stern Grove Festival, a renowned organization that shares our passion for the arts and community, has been a rewarding experience. At JAMBAR, our commitment to giving back is at the core of what we do, and supporting live music through this partnership aligns perfectly with our mission." Maxwell adds, "We’re thrilled to play a role in keeping both the musicians and the community energized and connected.”

We commend Stern Grove Festival for their incredible work in fostering community through the arts, and we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with them. Together, we’re making a positive impact, one beat at a time.

Stay tuned for more exciting partnerships and events with JAMBAR as we continue our journey of supporting music, sports, and the vibrant communities that bring them to life!
